SCRIPTURES TO HELP YOU
Tithing As A Commitment of Discipleship
One aspect of stewardship is tithing. This is an important Bible concept. The word tithe means a tenth. As stewards, we need to know the proper way to tithe, what tithes are, where and to whom it should be paid, what we are to tithe on, and when to tithe.
Where you spend your money is an indication of where your heart is. If we love the things of God, our giving pattern will show it.
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21
God Wants You To Give Your Best To Him
Some Christians only give their leftovers to the Lord. If they have any money left after paying all the bills (which is very rare) they give that to the Lord. God’s not interested in that type of offering. He wants the best part. He wants the first part. When this is given to the Lord, he promises to stretch the rest of our finances to meet our needs.
Proverbs 3:9-10
